Yesterday my friend, Sose passed away. She will be SO missed. A eulogy from YWAM Samoa is below:
On the 14th of April 2024, one of our dearest leaders, Sose Utu-Fepuleai (also known as Auntie or Mama Sose to so many) was welcomed to her eternal Home in Heaven. Though her presence will be oh so sorely missed, no one should ever think, “What a pity” or “She should never have died!” Because Sose would want you to know that she is exactly where she’s always yearned to be. In the very presence of her most beloved Lord, Jesus Christ. If anyone ever lived and breathed the calling to put God first in everything, it was definitely Sose. Her love for God was on full display by every person who knew her. By every person who saw the way she lived her life. She walked the talk. God was her everything. No one, not even her family, could stand between her and God. So we do not mourn Sose’s passing as those “who have no hope” (I Thess.4:13), rather, we will celebrate and rejoice that, after fighting the good fight, she is finally Home.
