March Update from the Cartwright’s
Hi, We are almost two months into staffing Advanced Principles of Communication and have about a month to go until we arrive in India to begin another three months of training there. The school and our time in Thailand has been very busy but fulfilling. We have had 22 students who have really seen God at work in societies and seen more of him as we discover many aspects of who he is in all the areas of life. We have seen Him in Arts and Entertainment, Communication, Government, Economics, Family, Church, Education and Science and Technology....

Dear family and friends Well we have ALL made it! We are once again altogether in Thailand after a separation of 3 weeks while Aleck went to Thailand for the start of the Advanced Principles in Communication School and the kids and I waited in the UK for our India visas to come through. Thailand is a fascinating place. It is so laid back and friendly and peaceful but at the same time you can feel a sort of churning under the surface. Hi All, October. Wow! Time has flown! We can’t believe we are due to leave for Asia in 2 months time! This morning I was reading to Mya about Gladys Aylward. She was a missionary in China who took care of orphans. In this particular story about her, she and 100 orphans had escaped a Japanese invasion and were fleeing for their lives. They had been walking for about a week already, and she had been shot and they had had no food for 2 days and barely any water. They eventually get to the river they were planning...

We are now mid-way through August and have just returned from a weeks break in Donegal, Southern Ireland. It was a much needed holiday and allowed us to see the beautiful scenery and spend time together as a family. Since being back we are settling in at our flat in Closkelt and helping out with the rebuilding of the new ministry here that is developing.
